For over several generations the name Massad has been synonymous with culinary excellence, both in the Bekka Valley of Lebanon and Mankato, Minnesota. With over 50 years in the food business, John Massad continues to be a master at his craft.

John introduced many of his recipes from back home to the restaurant. One of those items was called the “Chicken Schwarma” sandwich. The response was extraordinary and due to the overwhelming response from customers, the restaurant had a hard time keeping up with demand. So in 1995, the Massad’s opened a quick service restaurant in the food court of the River Hills Mall where they would sell the famous chicken Schwarma sandwich exclusively, along with other signature Mediterranean entrees.

Massad’s takes great pride in what they do, especially when it comes to their food. With the unique combination of healthy, high-quality food and affordable prices, Massad’s continues to etch itself in the fabric of the culinary culture.
